Ms. Conkling is owner and associate with Harvey Conkling Law Firm. Her practice emphasizes estate planning, probate, collections, real estate and property matters.

In addition to her various bar related activites, Ms. Conkling has volunteered her time and effort on behalf of the xxx, serving as a member of its Board of Diretors for x years, and its President for y years. Ms. Conkling attends church at the Bozeman Evangelical Free Church in Bozeman.

Ms. Conkling grew up in a suburb of Denver, Colorado; a true Western girl with a love for the mountains. After graduating from engineering college in 1979, Ms. Conkling moved to "silicon valley", California; the hot bed of technology at the time. She developed electronic warfare systems for GTE Government Systems. While with GTE, Ms. Conkling began to shift her focus to Microwave engineering. In 1986, she went to work for a privately held, very profitable and highly innovative microwave engineering firm; California Eastern Laboratories, and was shortly promoted to Applications Engineering Manager. She also began moonlighting as a consultant, starting her own engineering consulting firm in 1986. Ms. Conkling specialized in measuring and providing mathematical models for high frequency electronic components. In addition, her incessant desire to learn and solve problems resulted in Ms. Conkling traveling to Japan, Mexico and various locations in the United States to teach engineers how to use Microwave CAD software.

While working in California, Ms. Conkling married and started a family. In 1990, they chose to move to Bozeman, Montana; an ideal location to raise their growing family. Ms. Conkling continued to run her engineering consulting business from Montana while raising her four children. In 2000, Ms. Conkling retired from engineering and participated on the Board of Directors of several non profit groups.

Ms. Conkling's growing interest in solving people problems instead of engineering problems led her to become a trained mediator in 2002. Ms. Conkling began to assist parties in resolving conflict, without the pain and expense of going to trial.

She is currently President of Bozeman's Community Mediation Center.
